Full Stack Software Developer

At Church Community Builder our goal is to “help churches grow disciples.” We create world class software and partner with churches to make an impact on the world. As a Full Stack Developer at Church Community Builder you will work in a community of engineers via Agile teams to create world class Church Management Software that leads to many satisfied clients. Purpose: To build software utilized by our church partners that meets or exceeds our established architectural, security, user experience, and quality standards in order to help churches grow disciples.

Directly Responsible For

  • Attending all agile team meetings and discussions, such as Sprint Planning, Team Standups, and Sprint Demos 
  • Calling upon your unique experience and expertise to improve the quality of your project work and compliment the work of your peers
  • Delivering clean, quality code to your agile team that meets all project specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Providing Code Reviews for other developers in order to support collective code quality

Measured By

  • Consistent attendance and collaboration in meetings
  • Delivering clean, effective and quality code to your agile team that meets 100% project specifications and acceptance criteria 
  • Code covered by unit test 
  • Kickbacks addressed quickly
  • Team working together to meet all stated Maintenance standards
  • Code reviews performed within one business day of request

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Church Community Builder Software
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all software development best practices and architectural guidelines

Experience/Education level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired
  • 3+ years of Javascript and component libraries experience required
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP, React.js, and Redux
  • Proficient oral and written communications skills. Collaborates well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Service Oriented Architectures
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA or other case management software
