Software Test Engineer

As a Software Test Engineer at Church Community Builder you will work on a small Agile team to create test strategies, develop automated tests, and manually test our applications. You will serve with some of the greatest foosball, pingpong, basketball, and ultimate frisbee players in the world (at least that's our opinion). Church Community Builder provides room for both personal and professional growth by working with each associate individually to ensure they are challenged and growing.   • Create and maintain automated test coverage
  • Manage Agile Team code branches
  • Be an accelerator for your Agile Team (not a bottleneck)
  • Participate in BDD processes to ensure your Agile Team meets Sprint Goals
  • Participate in meetings such as Example Mapping, Program Planning, and Sprint Planning

Must Haves:

  • Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
  • Knowledge of BDD
  • Be a team player with a commitment to do what is required to achieve results
  • Be a self-motivator able to work with autonomy 

Nice to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field desired
  • 2 + years experience working with manual and automated testing methods and tools (e.g., BDD, Behat, Cucumber, Selenium)
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, especially Scaled Agile Framework
  • Experience using JIRA, Git, and Beanstalk
  • Knowledge of Church Community Builder Software
